THE NEW ORDER IN NAIROBI CBD. Nairobi being titled as the most congested city in Kenya is now moving to a new phase of service operations due to the high population and wider market range. This is to regulate the non-motorized modes of transport like rickshaws, hand- carts or animal-drawn carts a motioned by Kileleshwa MCA Robert Alai. Alai says that this action will tackle on safety concerns and efficient use of these transportation means to restore order in the CBD. Number plates, reflective jackets, insurance among others are some of the initiatives Mr. Robert has taken as initiative to protect against accidents and third-party damages. All these are due to the congestion management that are as a result of wasted time and fuel to protect environmental pollution and increase quality of life.
